According to initial reports, the 35-year-old woman arrived in Antalya on March 2 to undergo aesthetic surgery. After medical examinations and pre-operative evaluations, she was admitted to a private hospital in the Kepez district where she underwent breast and abdominal tightening surgery.
Hospital sources indicated that the operation itself was completed without any complications. However, after being transferred to her hospital room for post-operative monitoring, Gailloux reportedly began to feel unwell a short time later. Despite the medical team’s attempts to intervene, she could not be revived and was pronounced dead.
Police and forensic teams were dispatched to the hospital following the incident. Authorities launched an investigation into the case, while Gailloux’s body was transferred to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death through an autopsy.
Officials also took statements from a friend who had traveled to Türkiye with Gailloux. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing.
